Description:  Harrisburg-1961. Here is an original photo that I took at the Passenger Station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on 23 August 1961. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4917, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during June of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. It's pulling a Pittsburgh-bound passenger train into the Station. ("Red Shift" slide converted to Black & White.)

Amtrak's engine #4934 is a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata by the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "4917" during June of 1942, rated at 4,620 horsepower, inherited by the Penn Central and Conrail, acquired by Amtrak and renumbered "4934", and presently exposed to the elements and rusting away on some siding near Oneonta, New York.
